Keeping Pace with Wanda

The Convenience of Microwaving While You're Driving?

An electronics retailer has come out with a microwave that's designed to work in your car so you can pop you're favorite dish into the unit while you drive and whalah...a breakfast burrito, cold pizza, ramen noodles, hotpocket, or oatmeal can be ready in a flash! This little sucker can run on 12 Volt DC power...you plug it into your car's cigarette lighter (while you're going 80 miles an hour). If you need more "juice" to zap a frozen meal, the manufacturer built in the ability for you to hook this baby right up to the car battery. And what a deal, only 180 bucks! One caveat, it's not sold in the U.S., so shipping may void the "deal".

Hey, we've already got the in-car "game-boys", refrigerators, and Wi-Fi routers plugged in, so why not a Microwave? Well, I guess it's a statement about our busy lives, trying to multi-task, and wanting things "now"! In some cases, you would probably get to your destination before the crazy item gets hot! Some say that if you want these amentities while mobile, then get a motorhome, oh well.

On a serious note, try to stay focused on driving when you're....well....driving. Plan your day so you have ample time to zap the food and eat it at home, and don't suggest to the retailer that you want a voice activated model so you can microwave hands-free!
