Well, it's time to get serious about cooling off and for many of us that means the challenge of selecting just the right bathing suit! Never fear, there's the Skineez "shapewear" that apparently has a moisturizing and trimming feature to it. Macy's began carrying them this week (6/23/08).

This undergarment has a slimming skincare characteristic that is gaining (no pun intended) popularity. For only $68, this article of clothing is made of fabric that contains microcapsules of retinol, caffiene and other ingredients that tout the ability to moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of the dreaded cellulite. Oh, and they come with a spray used to add capsules after approximately ten washings!

Folks, I'm pretty vain, but I'm not going to spend almost seventy bucks on this novelty item...but what I suppose I could do, is take my cycling shorts, smear a concoction of my favorite Peet's coffee, Preparation H, and moisturizing cream into the material, and walla-same effect don't you agree?!

Oh boy, I better stick with wearing my bathing suit with some shorts, and leave it at that!

Try to stay cool...heat-exhaustion is a serious condition and in the very worst case, can be lethal. Keep a good balance of the proper fluids for hydration, work out early AM if possible, avoid extremes in temperatures, and load up on the sunblock.
